Emily Phillips, best known as Grazia magazine's Features Editor, is releasing her first novel Trying in January 2018 with Hodder & Stoughton.

Inspired by her own experiences, the book is about the ups and dwons of trying for a baby, a process that Phillips describes as 'hilarious, sometimes heart-breaking, and seemingly never-ending'. Trying, which has been likened to the work of Sharon Horgan, Dawn O'Porter and Mhairi McFarlane and described by Marian Keyes as 'funny, bittersweet and touching', is set to be one of 2018's first big debut novels.
